Taking a group class is fun and there is that sense of community, but practicing one on one, with an experienced instructor is absolutely the best way to get results. You get specific alignment corrections and attention based on your body. Your reasons for practicing yoga may be very different from those of the person on the mat next to you in a group class. All bodies are different so there’s no such thing as cookie-cutter yoga. No two of my private clients are the same, as each person’s body is not the same. My private clients get a custom tailored class, based on their own needs, injuries, etc. every time. Some clients work individually because they have specific therapeutic concerns and need more individual instruction than is possible in a group setting. Or they are new to yoga and don’t feel comfortable in a group setting yet. My goal is to give you enough tools and body awareness and understanding to be able to slide right into group classes.
